High Fat Low Carb Diet Daily Inspiration!

I love my scale!

Whenever I have a goal to accomplish, I find it helpful to keep inspired. And I do that by connecting with others who are also doing a low carb diet like me.

So for my high-fat low carb diet daily inspiration, I do a few things.

First I weigh myself daily. Now some people feel that this isn’t a good thing as it can be frustrating because the scale can move up on some days. But for me, it keeps me motivated.

I have realized that the scale does go up, but it always goes down. The last two week my weight has been pretty consistent. It will go down 2 pounds, then up 1, then down 1, then down 1, then up 1, then down 2. I just find keeping a log of my weight keeps me focused.

I simply uploaded an app on my phone to keep me on track.

Hugging my boyfriend daily(several times a day) helps too. I am so proud of him. He is on track to reversing his diabetes! But the thing that is really neat is realizing that I can get my arms further around him. His “beer belly”, doesn’t get in the way like it did 2 weeks ago.

And the last thing that keeps me motivated is reading stories about other people who are having success. I read success stories at dietdoctors.com, blogs, and YouTube videos. This keeps me motivated.

    Thanks for sharing your story with us. Weight loss is so hard. It is getting harder too as I get older. I gain weight so easily now but it is much more difficult to get rid of the weight now! I appreciate you sharing how you stay motivated. I also do a daily weigh in on my scale. I just can’t do it once a week. The anticipation would kill me.


    1. I have tried everything over the years and yes the older you get the harder. I have to tell you eating high fat is the easiest thing I have ever done. I don’t feel hungry and I don’t have cravings. It really is something I will be able to stick with.

  2. This is interesting. I don’t use the scale to check my weight. I use my clothes and how they fit to find inspiration. Are you also exercising? and if so what are you doing? Are you following a specific diet plan? Would love to know how your diet works. Thanks.

    1. I can also tell by how my clothes fit. And it’s funny it seems like the days I don’t lose any weight, I seem to get compliments from people saying that I look slimmer. So this is very inspiriting as well.

      I am exercising 3 times a week I work out with weights.

      It is low carb, high fat. So I eat lots of heavy cream, butter, bacon, eggs, avacado, coconut oil, olive oil and meats. I don’t eat anything that has sugar or artificial sweeteners. I don’t even eat fruit as it is really high in sugar. I do eat the veggies that are lower in carbs. Typically they are the ones that grow above the ground or are green.
